Opportunity for technical guidance and mentorship **Job Description** EGEC Qatar, a leading Engineering Consultancy, is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules for major construction and infrastructure projects in Qatar, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope. **Key Responsibilities:** * Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project, establishing project baselines, critical paths, and key milestones. * Monitor project progress, analyze variances, and prepare detailed progress reports, S\-curves, and dashboards for management and clients. * Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to track project performance and productivity. * Conduct schedule risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies or recovery plans to address delays. * Optimize resource allocation (manpower, equipment, materials) to ensure efficient project execution. * Act as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders, facilitating planning review meetings and presenting schedule status. * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior planning staff and ensure adherence to best practices. * Ensure all planning activities comply with contractual obligations (e.g., FIDIC standards). **Qualifications \& Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management. * A minimum of **12 years** of overall experience in project planning and scheduling, with at least **10 years** in a **Senior Planning Engineer role within an Engineering Consultancy firm**. * **Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 is mandatory.** Strong skills in MS Project and MS Excel are required. * Proven experience on large\-scale, complex construction and infrastructure projects. * In\-depth knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM), Earned Value Management (EVM), and project management principles (PMBOK). * Exceptional analytical, problem\-solving, and communication skills. * Ability to work effectively in a fast\-paced, multi\-cultural environment. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Prior experience working on **Ashghal projects** is highly desirable. * Experience with BIM integration in project planning is a plus.
