Summary:
This role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring code compliance and managing projects, including supervising apprentices.
Highlights:
1. Install, troubleshoot, and repair diverse electrical systems and components.
2. Ensure strict compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
3. Manage projects and mentor apprentice electricians.
* **Installing Electrical Systems:** Running conduit, pulling wiring, and installing fixtures, switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and transformers based on technical diagrams.
* **Troubleshooting \& Repairing:** Using testing devices (such as multimeters and ammeters) to locate electrical malfunctions, diagnose problems, and safely replace damaged wires or faulty equipment.
* **Reading Blueprints:** Interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and building plans to lay out and execute electrical layouts.
* **Code Compliance:** Ensuring all electrical work and installations strictly comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building and safety regulations.
* **Routine Maintenance:** Inspecting electrical components and systems regularly to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal, safe operation.
* **Project Management:** Estimating labor and material costs, managing inventory, and coordinating with other contractors or architects on job sites.
* **Supervising Apprentices:** Training, mentoring, and overseeing apprentice electricians to ensure safety standards and job requirements are met.
