Summary: An Environmental Specialist ensures compliance with environmental regulations, develops guidelines, prepares reports, manages permits, and responds to environmental incidents. Highlights: 1. Investigate environmental accidents and propose corrective actions Job description: * The main duties of Environmental Specialist include, but are not limited to: * Stay updated with local, state and federal environmental regulations. * Develop and enforce environmental guidelines and practices. * Review and recommend improvements to existing environmental programs for compliance assurance. * Generate environmental reports as requested by regulatory agencies. * Provide guidance and direction to management for ensuring environmental compliance. * Prepare permit applications and agreements as needed by regulatory agencies. * Obtain, maintain, modify and renew environmental permits and licenses. * Work with emergency response team to address environmental incidents such as chemical leaks and spills. * Identify and solve environmental violations. * Conduct regular environmental inspections to determine pollution level. * Investigate environmental accidents and propose corrective actions. REQUIREMENT: * Minimum 14 years post\-graduation experience. * Minimum 7 years of experience in Roads and Infrastructure projects in Qatar. * BSc. Civil / Environmental Science OR Any related science discipline. Education: * Bachelor's (Required) Experience: * Environmental Specialist/Engineer: 10 years (Required) License/Certification: * MMUP \- if having an Engineering Certificate (Required) Location: * Doha (Required) Work Location: In person
