Supervise technicians and external contractors. **Maintenance Engineer – Arabic** **Location:** Doha **Department:** Facilities / Projects / Operations **Employment Type:** Full\-Time Job Summary The Maintenance Engineer – is responsible for overseeing maintenance, repair, installation, and operational efficiency of commercial kitchen equipment, fit\-out works, MEP systems, and facility infrastructure. The role ensures all kitchen and interior facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Qatar regulations and company standards. Key Responsibilities Kitchen Equipment Maintenance * Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial kitchen equipment including: * Ovens * Grills * Fryers * Refrigeration systems * Dishwashers * Exhaust and ventilation systems * Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. * Monitor equipment performance and recommend replacements or upgrades. Fit\-Out \& Facility Maintenance * Supervise fit\-out maintenance works including: * Carpentry * Gypsum partitions * Painting * Flooring * Ceiling systems * Doors and hardware * Ensure all interior works meet safety and quality standards. * Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for repair and renovation activities. MEP Coordination * Monitor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire safety systems. * Coordinate with MEP contractors for inspections and repairs. * Ensure compliance with local authority requirements and maintenance standards in Qatar. Operations \& Compliance * Maintain maintenance logs, reports, and asset records. * Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments. * Ensure compliance with: * Health \& Safety regulations * HACCP standards * Municipality requirements * Civil Defense requirements * Support emergency maintenance and breakdown response. Vendor \& Team Management * Supervise technicians and external contractors. * Evaluate contractor performance and service quality. * Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance materials. RequirementsQualifications * Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field. * Certification in HVAC, MEP, or kitchen equipment maintenance is an advantage. Experience * 3–7 years of experience in maintenance engineering, fit\-out, or commercial kitchen maintenance. * Experience in restaurants, hospitality, malls, or facility management companies in Qatar preferred. * Knowledge of commercial kitchen systems and fit\-out works. Technical Skills * Knowledge of MEP systems and preventive maintenance practices. * Ability to read technical drawings and maintenance manuals. * Familiarity with CAFM systems/MS Office. * Understanding of Qatar safety and building regulations. Soft Skills * Strong troubleshooting and problem\-solving abilities. * Good communication and coordination skills. * Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks. * Leadership and team supervision skills. Preferred Candidate Profile * Valid Qatar Driving License preferred. * Immediate joiners or candidates with NOC preferred. * Experience handling restaurant or hospitality maintenance projects is highly desirable.
