Focus on asset readiness for safe, reliable, and sustainable operations Primary Purpose of the Job: The Sr. Commissioning Engineer is responsible for leading VOR Discipline Engineers and Discipline Technicians and coordinating with the QatarEnergy Project Team and Contractors to ensure consistent and standardized execution of project design, pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and start‑up activities for Operational Area (VO) Projects. All activities are to be carried out in accordance with approved QatarEnergy Procedures, Guidelines, Engineering Design Specifications, and Safety \& Environmental Standards to ensure that: * **Operational Area Asset Owners are fully prepared** to assume ownership at the point of delivery/handover, with the capability to operate and maintain the asset safely, reliably, and sustainably. * **Operational Area (VO) Projects are delivered efficiently**—faster, at significantly lower cost, and with maximum productivity—while upholding the highest standards of quality and HSE performance. Required Experience and Skills: * Minimum 15 years’ experience in Design, construction, commissioning and start\-up of oil \& gas processing and production facilities (Onshore/Offshore), preferably with EPIC contracting companies of which a minimum eight (8\) years Commissioning Coordinator/Team Leader. * Experience in operations, maintenance and projects’ pre\-commissioning, commissioning, start up and Hand\-over activities. * Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. * Relevant technical expertise. Multi\-discipline engineering exposure with trouble\-shooting and problem solving skills. * Good IT and analytical skills with the ability to work well under pressure. Educational Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Engineering Discipline preferably Chemical / Process / Mechanical Engineering. Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is preferable.
