Promotes a strong safety culture and ensures safe work practices The Boiler Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of boiler and auxiliary systems. The role includes monitoring plant operating parameters, executing startup and shutdown activities, troubleshooting operational issues, planning maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. **Key ResponsibilitiesPlant Operation \& Reliability** * Ensure reliable and efficient operation of boiler and utility systems by continuously monitoring critical operating parameters. * Monitor plant performance and recommend corrective actions to optimize efficiency and reliability. * Conduct and review fuel analysis and water analysis to maintain boiler efficiency and operational standards. * Maintain shift logbooks, operation logs, and performance records in accordance with company procedures and reporting standards. * Execute plant cold, warm, and hot startups and shutdowns strictly as per approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). * Ensure availability and readiness of all standby equipment and implement equipment changeover schedules as required. **Troubleshooting \& Emergency Handling** * Troubleshoot operational abnormalities and equipment failures to minimize downtime. * Effectively respond to emergency situations including: * Equipment failures * Plant load throw conditions * Blackouts * Boiler trips * Utility system failures * Analyze incidents and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence. **Performance Monitoring \& Reporting** * Prepare and submit operational reports including: * Daily Generation Reports (DGR) * Monthly Performance Reports * Trip Reports * Failure Analysis Reports * Monitor plant KPIs and identify opportunities for operational improvements. **Maintenance Planning \& Execution** * Plan and execute planned shutdown and maintenance activities for boilers and associated auxiliary equipment. * Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance activities. * Manage TG lube oil top\-up activities, lube oil changeovers, condenser air rumbles, and other routine operational maintenance requirements. * Verify equipment readiness following maintenance activities before returning systems to service. **Safety \& Compliance** * Coordinate with relevant departments for equipment isolation and maintenance activities. * Ensure implementation of: * HIRA (Hazard Identification \& Risk Assessment) * JSA (Job Safety Analysis) * PTW (Permit to Work) procedures before commencement of maintenance work. * Maintain compliance with Company EHS (Environment, Health \& Safety) policies, procedures, and statutory regulations. * Promote a strong safety culture and ensure safe work practices across all activities. **Qualifications** * Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related field. * Boiler Operation Engineer (BOE) Certification or equivalent license preferred. * Additional certifications in safety, power plant operations, or maintenance management will be advantageous. * **Experience:** Minimum of 5–10 years of experience Job Type: Full\-time Education: * Diploma (Preferred) Work Location: In person
