Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standards * **Mechanical Engineer – Industrial Machinery** Job Summary The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of industrial machinery and mechanical systems. The role also includes overseeing and supporting mechanical building services such as HVAC systems, plumbing installations, and mechanical aspects of electrical cabling works. The Mechanical Engineer ensures equipment reliability, optimizes machine performance, minimizes downtime, and supports engineering projects while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standards. Key Responsibilities * Design, evaluate, and improve industrial machinery and mechanical systems to enhance reliability, efficiency, and operational performance. * Plan, supervise, and support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and modification of industrial machines and mechanical equipment. * Analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive solutions. * Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for industrial machinery. * Oversee repairs, overhauls, and replacement of mechanical components including pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, motors, compressors, bearings, shafts, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems. * Supervise the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems, including air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), ventilation systems, ductwork, and associated mechanical equipment. * Oversee plumbing works, including water supply, drainage, sanitary piping, pumps, valves, and related mechanical services. * Coordinate and supervise mechanical aspects of electrical cabling installations, including cable routing, support systems, containment (trays and conduits), and equipment connections, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications. * Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, equipment manuals, and mechanical layouts. * Prepare engineering reports, technical documentation, maintenance procedures, and work instructions. * Monitor machinery performance and recommend improvements to increase productivity and reduce maintenance costs. * Coordinate with production, maintenance, contractors, and project teams to ensure timely completion of engineering and maintenance activities. * Support procurement by preparing technical specifications and evaluating technical compliance of equipment and materials. * Supervise technicians and contractors during maintenance, installation, and project execution. * Ensure all engineering activities comply with applicable engineering standards, company procedures, and safety regulations. * Maintain accurate engineering documentation and records for equipment, maintenance activities, and project work. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. * Minimum **5 years** of experience in industrial machinery, manufacturing plants, industrial facilities, or heavy industry. * Practical experience with industrial machinery, rotating equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and mechanical installations. * Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical power transmission systems. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, mechanical layouts, P\&IDs, and technical specifications. * Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or similar engineering design and drafting applications. * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem\-solving skills. * Good communication, planning, and organizational skills. * Ability to supervise technicians and coordinate multiple engineering activities. Working Conditions * Based in an industrial manufacturing facility, processing plant, or industrial workshop. * May require occasional site visits, equipment inspections, and supervision of installation or maintenance activities. * Participation in planned shutdowns, emergency breakdown support, and overtime when operationally required. * Regular collaboration with production, maintenance, engineering, procurement, and project teams.
