**Job Title: Cost Estimator** **Company:** Octagon International Qatar **Sector:** Oil \& Gas / EPC Projects **Employment Type:** Full\-Time **Joining:** Immediate (Valid NOC \& Transferable Visa Required) **About the Role** Octagon International Qatar is seeking a qualified **Cost Estimator** with **mandatory Oil \& Gas project experience**. The role is responsible for delivering **accurate cost estimates, budgeting, and financial evaluations** during tendering and execution phases, ensuring cost efficiency and contractual compliance across complex industrial projects. **Key Responsibilities** * Prepare **detailed cost estimates** for Oil \& Gas projects including civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation works. * Review IFC drawings, specifications, BOQs, and scope documents to develop accurate pricing. * Perform **quantity take\-offs** and establish cost breakdown structures (CBS). * Prepare **budgetary, definitive, and final estimates** for tenders and ongoing projects. * Support tender submissions with complete **commercial and cost documentation**. * Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations for technical and commercial compliance. * Monitor estimated costs against approved budgets and identify risks or variances. * Assess cost impacts related to **variations, change orders, and scope changes**. * Prepare **cost reports and summaries** for management and project teams. * Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, planning, and project management teams. **Qualifications \& Experience** * Bachelor’s Degree in **Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management**. * **Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Cost Estimator in Oil \& Gas projects – mandatory.** * Proficient in **MS Excel, AutoCAD**, and cost estimation software. * Strong knowledge of **BOQs, drawings, specifications, and cost control methodologies**. * Familiarity with **EPC contracts and FIDIC conditions** is an advantage. * Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills. **Mandatory Requirements** * **Oil \& Gas project experience is mandatory** * Currently **based in Qatar** * **Valid NOC and transferable visa** * **Ready to join immediately** * **Interested candidates?
