We are looking for a **skilled MEP Quantity Surveyor** for our Estimation Department. The role is critical for the success of our projects by accurately estimating costs for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works. The candidate will collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to develop detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and bids. This role requires someone capable of working independently while coordinating with multiple stakeholders and ensuring compliance with industry standards. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** **Estimation \& Costing** * Assisting in pricing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works under supervision. * Help prepare MEP Bills of Quantity (BOQ) and quantity take\-offs from drawings. * Support in reviewing tender documents and preparing RFIs for missing information. * Assist in cost estimations including materials, labour, plant, and miscellaneous items. **Supplier \& Subcontractor Coordination** * Help obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. * Support in comparing quotations and maintaining approved supplier/subcontractor database. **Project Coordination \& Reporting** * Coordinate with project teams to gather required information for estimations. * Conduct site visits under guidance to understand existing site conditions. * Assist in preparing progress reports and documentation for internal use. **Compliance \& Learning** * Learn and ensure adherence to industry standards, contract requirements, and estimation practices. * Stay updated with MEP and fit\-out industry trends, costing methods, and best practices. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Education** * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, BSc in QS, HD in QS, or related field. **Experience** * Freshers or candidates with 0–2 years of relevant experience are preferred. * Willingness to crossover into the MEP and fit\-out estimation industry. **Technical Skills** * Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office. * Familiarity with estimation or construction concepts is a plus. * Eagerness to learn and develop skills in BOQs, costing, and project estimation. **Core Competencies** * **Analytical Thinking:** Ability to understand drawings, specifications, and project requirements. * **Attention to Detail:** Maintain accuracy in BOQs and estimations under supervision. * **Independent Working:** Willing to take responsibility and work independently when trained. * **Proactive Communication:** Openly communicate with team members for guidance and clarification. * **Time Management:** Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines with support. * **Problem\-Solving:** Willingness to learn how to identify issues and propose solutions. **Personal Attributes** * Career\-driven, motivated, and eager to grow in the estimation field. * Organized, detail\-oriented, and able to learn quickly. * Proactive, self\-starter with a willingness to take ownership of tasks. * Team player with professional conduct and adaptability.
