**Job Title:** Senior Building Construction Estimator
**Location:** State of Qatar
**Job Summary:**
A Senior Building Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, performing quantity take-offs, and developing pricing proposals and tender submissions for construction projects, ensuring accurate pricing and comprehensive analysis of all cost elements—including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors—to support decision-making and achieve optimal competitive outcomes.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities:**
* Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for residential, commercial, and industrial building projects.
* Review and analyze architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and technical specifications.
* Perform quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
* Analyze costs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
* Study tender documents, contracts, and project requirements.
* Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
* Conduct value engineering studies and cost optimization initiatives.
* Prepare project budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.
* Update price databases, cost records, and historical project data.
* Identify cost-related risks and propose mitigation strategies.
* Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, and project management teams.
* Prepare estimation reports, presentations, and bids for review and approval.
* Support contractual negotiations and pre-award activities.
**Required Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent.
* Minimum 8–10 years of experience in cost estimating, cost engineering, or quantity surveying for building projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, building materials, contracts, and pricing structures.
* Proficiency in estimating software such as AutoCAD, CostX, Planswift, Candy, Primavera, and MS Excel.
* Excellent understanding of BOQ preparation, tender procedures, and budgeting.
* Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and cost management skills.
* Prior experience in GCC construction projects is preferred.
Salary: QAR٢١,٠٠٠.٠٠ per month
