This role ensures that production schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, safety protocols are followed, and labor resources are optimized. The supervisor leads, trains, and mentors a team of fabricators, welders, and machine operators. **Key ResponsibilitiesProduction \& Operations** * Plan, organize, and direct daily workflow to meet production targets and customer deadlines. * Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to assign tasks appropriately. * Monitor fabrication processes (shearing, sawing, laser/plasma cutting, forming, welding) to ensure efficiency and accuracy. * Coordinate with material handling and inventory teams to ensure adequate raw materials are available for jobs. * Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase throughput. **Leadership \& Team Management** * Supervise, schedule, and evaluate the performance of fabrication staff (typically 5–20\+ employees). * Provide on\-the\-job training and cross\-training to improve team skill levels. * Enforce company policies, attendance, and safety standards. * Resolve conflicts and foster a positive, collaborative work environment. **Quality Assurance** * Inspect finished products and in\-process work to ensure compliance with customer specifications, tolerances, and industry standards (e.g., AWS D1\.1, ISO). * Implement corrective actions when defects or non\-conformances are identified. * Maintain traceability and quality documentation as required. **Safety \& Compliance** * Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies (PPE, machine guarding, lockout/tagout, ventilation for welding fumes, etc.). * Conduct daily safety huddles, weekly inspections, and incident investigations. * Ensure proper housekeeping (5S or similar) in all fabrication areas. **Maintenance \& Equipment** * Monitor equipment condition; schedule preventive maintenance for presses, brakes, saws, welders, and CNC machines. * Report major breakdowns and coordinate with maintenance technicians. **QualificationsEducation \& Experience** * **Education:** High school diploma or GED required.
