In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment, ensuring that manufacturing processes run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, proactive in troubleshooting, and committed to continuous improvement. **Key Responsibilities** **Equipment Operation \& Monitoring** * Set up, operate, and adjust production machinery according to standard operating procedures (SOPs). * Monitor production parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, etc.) and make real\-time adjustments to maintain product quality. * Perform routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment. **Quality Control** * Conduct in\-process inspections and quality checks (e.g., dimensions, weight, visual defects). * Document production data, including output counts, downtime, and quality metrics. * Identify and segregate non\-conforming products; initiate non\-conformance reports. **Safety \& Compliance** * Adhere to all safety protocols, lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or equivalent standards. * Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S methodology). * Report safety hazards, near\-misses, or equipment malfunctions immediately. **Troubleshooting \& Problem\-Solving** * Diagnose basic mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic issues and resolve them or escalate as needed. * Minimize downtime by identifying root causes of production stoppages. **Continuous Improvement** * Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma). * Suggest process or tooling improvements to increase efficiency or reduce waste. **Documentation \& Communication** * Complete shift logs, production reports, and maintenance records accurately. * Communicate shift handover information clearly to incoming technicians. **Qualifications** **Education \& Experience** * High school diploma or equivalent required. * \[Optional] Associate degree or technical certificate in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred. * 1–3 years of experience as a production technician, machine operator, or similar role in a manufacturing environment. **Technical Skills** * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, work instructions, and SOPs. * Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges). * Basic computer literacy (e.g., data entry into ERP/MES systems). * \[Industry\-specific] e.g., cleanroom protocol, food safety (HACCP), chemical handling, or soldering. **Soft Skills** * Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. * Problem\-solving mindset and mechanical aptitude. * Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods. * Team player with good verbal communication skills.
