Work with various tile types and read blueprints **Job Title:** Tile Mason (Tile Setter)**Job Summary** A Tile Mason is responsible for installing tiles on floors, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The role involves surface preparation, precise tile placement, and finishing work to ensure durability and aesthetic quality. **Key Responsibilities** * Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled according to drawings or specifications * Prepare surfaces (cleaning, leveling, applying mortar or adhesives) * Cut tiles to size using hand or power tools * Lay tiles in planned patterns, ensuring alignment and spacing * Apply grout and sealants to secure tiles and finish joints * Repair or replace broken or damaged tiles * Inspect finished work for quality and accuracy * Follow safety standards and site regulations **Skills \& Requirements** * Proven experience as a tile mason or tile setter * Knowledge of different tile types (ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, etc.) * Ability to read blueprints or layout plans * Skilled in using tile\-cutting tools and equipment * Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship * Physical stamina and ability to work on\-site for long hours * Basic math skills for measurements and calculations **Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) * Vocational training or apprenticeship in masonry/tiling is an advantage Work Location: In person
