Coordinate with various teams and maintain lifting equipment records. **Rigging/Lifting Supervisor – Oil \& Gas Project** **Location:** Ras Laffan, Qatar **Job Type:** Full\-time **Salary:** QAR 5,500–7,000 per month, depending on experience and technical interview Job Summary We are hiring an experienced **Rigging/Lifting Supervisor** for an oil\-and\-gas construction project in Ras Laffan, Qatar. The candidate must have extensive direct rigging experience, strong lifting\-supervision skills and a valid third\-party Rigging/Lifting Supervisor certificate. Applicants without the required rigging experience and valid certification will not be considered. Key Responsibilities * Plan, coordinate and supervise all lifting and rigging activities. * Prepare and review routine, non\-routine and critical lift plans. * Review crane load charts and confirm crane capacity, working radius and boom configuration. * Calculate load weight, centre of gravity and rigging\-gear requirements. * Calculate ground\-bearing pressure and determine suitable outrigger mats or steel plates. * Inspect cranes, lifting appliances, accessories and rigging equipment before use. * Verify the validity and colour coding of slings, shackles, hooks, spreader beams and lifting tools. * Ensure crane operators, riggers and signalmen hold valid competency certificates. * Conduct toolbox talks, pre\-lift meetings and risk\-assessment briefings. * Ensure compliance with approved method statements, lifting plans and safe\-working procedures. * Supervise heavy, critical, tandem and complex lifting activities. * Coordinate crane assembly, mobilisation and demobilisation. * Confirm safe access, crane positioning, exclusion zones and ground conditions. * Stop lifting activities immediately when unsafe conditions are identified. * Maintain lifting\-equipment registers, inspection records and daily reports. * Coordinate with the client, HSE team, construction team and third\-party inspectors. * Ensure compliance with QatarEnergy, client and Qatar lifting requirements. Mandatory Qualifications * Minimum Higher Secondary education or an equivalent qualification. * Minimum 10 years of direct rigging and lifting experience. * Minimum three years of experience as a Rigging/Lifting Supervisor. * GCC oil\-and\-gas, petrochemical or major industrial\-construction experience. * Valid third\-party Rigging/Lifting Supervisor competency certificate. * Certificate must confirm completion of either: * Five\-day fresh Rigging/Lifting Supervisor training; or * Three\-day Rigging/Lifting Supervisor refresher training. * Strong knowledge of crane load charts, lifting plans and rigging calculations. * Practical knowledge of ground\-bearing\-pressure and outrigger\-load calculations. * Experience in selecting rigging equipment based on SWL/WLL, sling angles and load configuration. * Good knowledge of PTW, HIRA/JSA, toolbox talks and lifting safety procedures. * Physically fit, with acceptable eyesight, hearing and reflexes. * Good English communication, supervision and reporting skills. * QatarEnergy or other major\-client approval is preferred. * Candidates currently available in Qatar are preferred.
