Performing preventative maintenance and maintaining records **Objectives :** Diesel mechanics are responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel\-powered vehicles. Their duties include running diagnostic tests on vehicles, test driving vehicles to gauge performance and maintaining detailed records of the vehicles they have serviced. **Responsibilities :** \- Responsible for the maintenance and repair, overhaul of all types of diesel engine vehicles. \- Running diagnostic tests on vehicles. \- Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems. \- Troubleshoot / test the engine to diagnose the problem and identifies the root cause of the problem and prepare a list of all material and spare parts required to carry out the job. \-Test driving vehicles to gauge performance. \- Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks. \- Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles. \- Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist. \- Maintaining a parts inventory. \- Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop. \- Two (2\) years full training in technical institute as an apprentice leading to a position of a recognized diploma in an auto mechanic. \- Must have minimum secondary level of education. \- Age between 30 and 45 years old \- Shall be capable to read, speak, write, and understand English language, additional Arabic will be advantage. \- Must have Five (05\) years’ experience for all kind of vehicles. Pay: QAR1,900\.00 per month Work Location: In person
