We are looking for a Senior Shipping Operations Manager (m/f/d) who can take ownership of our operational excellence strategy. You will not simply oversee shipments; you will drive performance, optimize workflows, and ensure seamless coordination across shipping, freight, customs, and transport activities. You will lead a skilled operations team, acting as the bridge between internal departments, port authorities, freight partners, and customers. Key Responsibilities: Operations Management: Lead and oversee day to day shipping and logistics operations. Ensure cargo handling, freight coordination, shipment tracking, and delivery schedules operate efficiently. Process Improvement: Analyze operational performance and identify opportunities to improve turnaround times, reduce delays, and increase service efficiency. Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise operations coordinators and logistics staff. Conduct performance reviews and support team development initiatives. Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination: Maintain strong working relationships with freight providers, transport vendors, customs representatives, and business partners to ensure uninterrupted operations. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure shipping operations remain aligned with internal policies, industry standards, and regional logistics requirements. Prepare operational reports and performance updates for management. What We Are Looking For: Experience: 6\+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of shipping procedures, cargo handling, freight coordination, customs processes, and operational planning. Leadership Skills: Proven experience managing teams, resolving operational issues, and maintaining high service standards under pressure. Communication: Strong English communication skills are required. Arabic language skills are considered an advantage for regional coordination.
