Install, test, and commission new escalators and moving walkways. **Escalator Technician** Job Description **Key Responsibilities:** * Perform preventive maintenance on escalators and moving walkways. * Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults. * Install, test, and commission new escalators and moving walkways. * Inspect equipment regularly to ensure compliance with safety standards. * Replace worn or defective components such as chains, rollers, handrails, motors, sensors, and control systems. * Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and service calls. * Read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals. * Maintain accurate service reports and maintenance records. * Follow company policies and all health and safety regulations. * Coordinate with supervisors and customers regarding maintenance schedules and repair work. Requirements: * Diploma, ITI, or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering. * Minimum **2–5 years** of experience in escalator maintenance and repair. * Experience with major brands such as **Otis, KONE, Schindler, TK Elevator (Thyssenkrupp), Mitsubishi, Fujitec,** or **Hitachi** is preferred. * Good knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and PLC\-based control systems. * Ability to troubleshoot and repair escalator faults independently. * Strong understanding of safety procedures and industry standards. * Good communication and teamwork skills.
