Summary: This role involves accurately measuring, altering, repairing, and customising garments, requiring excellent sewing skills and customer service. Highlights: 1. Provide valuable customer service and style recommendations * Take customers' measurements accurately. * Alter, repair, and customise garments to achieve the desired fit. * Sew garments by hand or using industrial sewing machines. * Cut and prepare fabric according to patterns and specifications. * Fit garments on customers and make necessary adjustments. * Replace zippers, buttons, linings, and other garment components. * Press and finish garments to a high\-quality standard. * Maintain sewing equipment and keep the work area clean and organised. * Assist customers with fabric, style, and alteration recommendations. * Ensure all work is completed on time while maintaining quality standards. **Key Skills:** * Excellent sewing and stitching skills. * Knowledge of garment construction and fabrics. * Attention to detail and precision. * Good customer service and communication. * Time management and ability to meet deadlines. * Experience using industrial sewing machines and tailoring tools.
