Provide guidance and on-the-job training to technicians ### **General Information** Ref \# MRO\_AE\_St Location Qatar\-Doha Job family Engineering * Closing Date: 2026\-05\-31 ### **Description** **About the Role** Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Technical Engineering team as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer Level 1 who is responsible to deliver aircraft Maintenance activities to directly support flight operations maintenance checks and duties within their authority as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer. To provide specialized knowledge skills and expertise and require ensuring safe, effective and efficient operation. **Operational** * Plan assigned activities in an effective and efficient manner, operate equipment or use tooling relative to assigned tasks within framework of Qatar Airways procedures. * Reviews work procedures, standards and proposes improvements where procedures are not appropriate to ensure work processes are effective. * Responsible for the final release of work accomplished by the Mechanics. Ensure tasks are performed to meet company/Customer standard and target such as dispatch reliability and level of acceptable deferred defects. * Ensure delivery standard of QR/customer products are met. Aircraft maintenance tasks are accomplished in accordance with laid down policies and procedures. Provide satisfactory support to internal and external customers. * Implement solutions to technical problems within his range of his authority, and ensure that aircrafts or components serviceability standards are maintained to meet schedule requirements. * Provide guidance and or on the job training to the Technicians and Aircraft Mechanics reporting to this position. * When supervising the wok of others, ensuring that acceptable standard of workmanship and quality are maintained and the correct tools are employed to accomplish the task. **About Qatar Airways Group** Our story started with four aircraft. Now is the time to bring your best. ### **Qualification** **About You:** * High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 5 years of job\-related experience OR Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job\-related experience **Essential** * Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or Trade or vocation aircraft maintenance qualification or Degree (B.Eng., BSc) or equivalent in aircraft engineering \+ * As per company requirement, must arrange to have equipment, heavy vehicle driving license to facilitate Maintenance task requirements. * Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. * Using mathematics to solve problems. * Controlling operations of equipment or systems. * Managerial skills \- Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills.
