A strong commitment to customer service and meticulous attention to detail are essential — from the moment money changes hands at the bar, to beverage quality, to the advice provided to guests. Regardless of your role, certain fundamentals are critical to success: maintaining a safe workplace, adhering to company policies and procedures or confidentiality requirements, and safeguarding company values through personal appearance — including uniform standards. Bartenders must remain standing and mobile for extended periods (standing, sitting, walking, etc.), engage physically in tasks (moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds (11.4 kg) unassisted; reaching overhead or floor-level items, which may involve bending and torso rotation).
