Working closely with teachers and the primary leadership team, you will support the curriculum, enrich learning experiences and foster a culture where every child discovers the joy and power of books. **Key responsibilities include:** · Managing and developing the Primary Library as a dynamic learning space. · Promoting a love of reading through innovative events, author visits, reading initiatives and book promotions. · Supporting students in developing research and information literacy skills. · Collaborating with teachers to enhance teaching and learning across the curriculum. · Maintaining and developing an attractive, well\-organised and up\-to\-date library collection. · Supporting literacy initiatives and whole\-school priorities. · Managing library systems, resources and budgets effectively. · Creating an inclusive environment where every child feels inspired to read, explore and learn. **About You** We are looking for someone who: · Has experience working within a primary school or educational library (preferred). · Has an excellent knowledge of children's literature and current reading trends. · Is passionate about developing confident, enthusiastic readers. · Demonstrates excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. · Is confident using library management systems and educational technology. · Works collaboratively and builds strong relationships with students, staff and parents. · Shares our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all children. **How to Apply** Please upload your full CV and covering letter highlighting why you would be a suitable candidate for this role by 20th August 2026\.
