Provide guests with information regarding recreational facilities, which may include pools, beach areas, entertainment/play rooms, fitness centers, and children’s activity centers. Encourage, recruit, enroll, and schedule guests for leisure activities. Promote a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere for guests. Remind guests of rules governing recreational and fitness facilities to ensure guest and member safety and well-being. Monitor activities within the recreational facility and respond appropriately per local operational procedures during emergency situations. Provide cashier services when working in facilities that involve point-of-sale transactions. Assist with private functions held in recreational facilities involving group activities and events. Be aware of potential situations where guests may not be able to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisor or manager. Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive. Clean and maintain recreational facilities, equipment, and accessories. Report accidents, injuries, and hazardous working conditions to management; complete safety training and obtain certifications. Follow company policies and procedures; ensure wearing of clean, complete uniform; maintain neat and professional appearance at all times while on duty; respect confidentiality when sharing brand- and/or hotel-specific information; protect all company property. Greet and welcome all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guest service needs; assist guests with disabilities; thank guests sincerely and genuinely. Communicate with others using clear, appropriate, and professional language; answer telephone calls using proper etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team efforts to achieve common goals. Process payments for equipment rentals, recreational activities, facility rentals, or retail sales. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Read and visually verify information presented in various formats (e.g., small print). Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machinery (to detect damage). Enter and retrieve job-related information using computers and point-of-sale systems. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for full shifts. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds (11.3 kg) unassisted and objects weighing over 50 pounds (22.7 kg) with assistance. Grasp, rotate, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring excellent dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces. Move across sloped, uneven, or slippery surfaces, including stairs and ramps. Perform knee extension and flexion movements, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
