Ensure compliance with international standards and local regulations Mechanical Design Engineer **Location:** Qatar **Employment Type:** Full\-Time Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail\-oriented **Mechanical Design Engineer** to join our engineering team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, and development of mechanical building services systems, including Water Supply, Drainage, Fire Fighting (FF), and ACMV (Air Conditioning \& Mechanical Ventilation) systems for residential, commercial, mixed\-use, and infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities * Prepare mechanical design calculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications for: * Water Supply Systems * Drainage \& Sewerage Systems * Fire Fighting Systems * ACMV Systems * Develop concept, schematic, detailed, and construction\-stage designs. * Perform hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, duct sizing, ventilation calculations, and equipment selection. * Prepare and review design reports, technical specifications, BOQs, and tender documents. * Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and other disciplines. * Ensure designs comply with Qatar regulations, QCDD requirements, Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), and relevant international standards. * Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical submissions from contractors. * Participate in project meetings and provide technical support throughout project execution. * Conduct design reviews and value engineering studies to optimize system performance and cost. * Ensure project deliverables are completed within schedule and quality requirements. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. * Minimum **10 years** of experience in mechanical building services design. * Experience in Qatar/GCC projects is preferred. * QCDD certification is highly recomended. * Familiarity with NFPA, ASHRAE, IPC, SMACNA, and other relevant international codes and standards. * Knowledge of sustainability and energy\-efficient mechanical system design. * Proficiency in: * AutoCAD * Revit MEP (preferred) * HAP * Elite Software / Pipe Flow (preferred) * MS Office * Excellent communication and coordination skills. * Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams. Preferred Skills * Experience in BIM coordination and clash detection. * Professional Engineering certification is an advantage. Application Question(s): * Current notice period ?
