Analyze and improve manufacturing practices and production processes **Position Overview** Industrial Engineers design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes, including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination . They find ways to eliminate wastefulness in production processes and devise efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials, information, and energy to make a product or provide a service . **Key Responsibilities** **Process Analysis and Improvement** * Evaluate current manufacturing practices, production schedules, workflows, layouts, and specifications to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities * Plan and establish sequences of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products to promote efficient utilization * Conduct time and motion studies, root\-cause analyses, and data\-driven assessments * Design and implement lean manufacturing techniques, Kaizen events, and Six Sigma projects to enhance productivity and reduce costs * Develop manufacturing methods and labor utilization standards **Quality and Cost Management** * Estimate production costs, cost\-saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures * Establish management control systems for cost analysis, financial planning, and budgeting * Design and enforce quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications and regulatory requirements * Analyze statistical data and product specifications to establish quality and reliability objectives **Design and Planning** * Draft and design layouts of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency using CAD software * Review production schedules, engineering specifications, and process flows to understand manufacturing methods * Coordinate and implement quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve production problems **Collaboration and Communication** * Confer with clients, vendors, staff, and management regarding purchases, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, or project status * Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards * Train employees on new standard operating procedures **Essential Skills and QualificationsEducation** * Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related technical field * Bachelor's degree required for 94\.9% of industrial engineers * Master's degree preferred for senior roles **Experience** * Relevant experience in manufacturing, logistics, or process improvement (typically 2\+ years preferred; entry\-level with strong internships considered) * Prior work experience required for 66\.3% of industrial engineers * Exposure to lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement projects highly desirable **Technical Skills** * **Analytical tools:** Data analytics, statistics, Minitab, MATLAB * **Design software:** CAD, simulation software, AutoCAD, SolidWorks * **Methodologies:** Lean Six Sigma, process mapping, workflow optimization * **Systems:** ERP systems, supply chain software, automation systems **Soft Skills** * **Analytical and critical\-thinking skills:** Problem\-solving, logic, and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions * **Communication skills:** Written and verbal; essential for gathering information and reporting findings * **Attention to detail:** Scrutinizing the smallest aspects of a system * **Creativity:** Designing new production processes to reduce material, time, or labor waste Pay: QAR98,000\.00 \- QAR120,000\.00 per year Work Location: In person
