In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned machinery to meet production targets and quality standards. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment . Responsibilities \& Duties **Machine Operation \& Setup** * Set up and calibrate machinery according to specifications and production requirements before each run . * Operate machinery and equipment to perform various production processes such as cutting, punching, forming, and processing . * Monitor machine performance during operation, making necessary adjustments to settings to maintain product quality and efficiency . **Quality Control \& Maintenance** * Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications . * Perform routine preventative maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting machinery . * Identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues, reporting significant problems to maintenance personnel or supervisors . **Documentation \& Safety** * Complete accurate production reports, logs, and documentation related to machine operation, output, and any issues encountered . * Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, using required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel\-toe boots, and hearing protection . * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) where applicable . * Assist with inventory management and the movement of materials within the work area, which may include operating a forklift or overhead crane . Qualifications \& Skills **Education \& Experience** * High School Diploma or GED equivalent required . * Previous experience as a machine operator or in a manufacturing/warehouse environment is preferred . * Certification to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, or other industrial vehicles is a plus . **Essential Skills** * **Mechanical Aptitude:** Understanding of machinery operation, mechanical systems, and basic troubleshooting techniques . * **Attention to Detail:** Ability to monitor machine performance closely and detect quality issues early . * **Problem\-Solving:** Ability to identify problems quickly and implement effective solutions . * **Math Skills:** Basic arithmetic and measurement skills for adjusting machine settings and inspecting product quality . * **Communication:** Effective communication skills to work with team members and supervisors . Working Conditions \& Physical Demands * **Physical Demands:** Ability to stand for prolonged periods (8\-12 hour shifts) and perform repetitive motions . Must be able to lift heavy materials, typically up to 50 pounds (approx. 23 kg), on a regular basis . * **Work Environment:** Work is performed in a fast\-paced manufacturing environment that may be noisy and subject to varying temperatures . * **Safety Requirements:** Use of PPE is mandatory, and employees must follow all safety rules and regulations . * **Schedule:** May require flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends .
