Ensures timely delivery of materials and compliance with policies Job Title: Procurement Assistant Department: Procurement / Purchasing Reports To: Procurement Manager Job Summary: The Procurement Assistant supports the procurement department in sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating materials, equipment, and services required for company operations and projects. The role involves preparing purchase orders, obtaining quotations, maintaining procurement records, and ensuring timely delivery of materials while complying with company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: * Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations for materials and services. * Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and Purchase Requests (PRs). * Follow up with suppliers regarding quotations, deliveries, and payment status. * Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing documents. * Compare prices, specifications, and delivery schedules to identify the best purchasing options. * Coordinate with project teams, site engineers, and department heads regarding material requirements. * Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely receipt of materials. * Verify purchase documents, invoices, and delivery notes. * Assist in supplier evaluation and performance monitoring. * Maintain proper filing and documentation of procurement transactions. * Support inventory and stock control activities when required. * Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures. Qualifications: * Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. * Minimum 2–5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the construction industry. * Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. * Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
