Adjust oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures. Remove food from freezer and defrost in refrigerator. Portion and plate food appropriately. Maintain food records. Monitor quality and quantity of cooked food. Communicate need for additional support during peak periods. Inform chef of leftover ingredients to be used in daily specials. Inform food and beverage service staff of special menu items or sold-out menu items. Ensure food quality standards are met. Prepare food following recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and cooking checklists. Prepare cold foods. Assist management in recruiting, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees. Serve as a role model. Comply with all company safety and security policies and procedures. Report any maintenance concerns, accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to manager. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Anticipate and address guest service needs, communicate with others using clear and professional language. Listen and respond to employee concerns, ensuring expected quality and standards are met. Perform duties that may involve standing, sitting, walking, bending, twisting, reaching above and below the shoulders, squatting, and pulling. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
