CAD OPERATOR (PIPING)

Summary: Seeking a skilled Piping CAD Drafter to prepare, modify, and update piping drawings for Oil & Gas projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Highlights: 1. Key role in multidisciplinary project coordination Key Responsibilities * Prepare, modify, and update **piping drawings using AutoCAD** based on engineering designs, sketches, and mark\-ups. * Prepare and maintain **Piping GA drawings, piping layouts, plans, sections, elevations, and details**. * Develop and revise **piping isometric drawings** and related drawings as required. * Interpret and work from **P\&IDs, piping specifications, engineering drawings, and technical documents**. * Incorporate engineering and site mark\-ups accurately into CAD drawings. * Prepare **as\-built drawings** based on approved site changes and redline mark\-ups. * Ensure piping drawings comply with project specifications, approved CAD standards, and applicable Oil \& Gas industry practices. * Coordinate piping drawings with **Process, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation** disciplines. * Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions, annotations, line numbers, equipment references, and revision details. * Maintain proper CAD layers, symbols, line types, scales, title blocks, and drawing standards. * Update drawings based on comments received from engineers, clients, consultants, and site teams. * Support the Piping Engineering/Design team in meeting project schedules and deliverables. * Maintain proper revision control and organized CAD files. * Assist with preparation of drawing packages for **construction, fabrication, installation, and client approval**. * Coordinate with site personnel to update drawings based on actual field conditions. * Ensure all assigned drawings are completed accurately and within the required project deadlines. Required Technical Skills * Excellent working knowledge of **AutoCAD**. * Strong knowledge of **Piping CAD Operations/Drafting**. * Good understanding of **Oil \& Gas piping systems and construction practices**. * Ability to read and interpret: * P\&IDs * Piping Isometrics * Piping GA Drawings * Plot Plans * Equipment Layouts * Piping Specifications * Engineering and Site Mark\-ups * Knowledge of piping components such as **valves, flanges, fittings, supports, reducers, strainers, and specialty items**. * Understanding of piping line numbering, material specifications, insulation requirements, and basic piping drafting practices. * Experience in preparing **construction and as\-built drawings**. * Familiarity with client\-specific CAD standards and document\-control procedures. Education \& Qualification * Diploma or Degree in **Mechanical Engineering, Piping Design, CAD/Drafting, or a related technical discipline**. * Relevant technical certification in CAD/Drafting will be an advantage. Experience Requirements * **4–5 years of total relevant experience** in CAD/Piping Drafting. * **Minimum 3 years of experience in Qatar** working on **Oil \& Gas projects**. * Experience with **EPC, construction, maintenance, brownfield, or greenfield Oil \& Gas projects** is preferred. * Experience working with Qatar\-based Oil \& Gas operators, EPC contractors, or major engineering/construction projects will be an advantage. * Candidates with strong experience in **Qatar Oil \& Gas piping projects** will be preferred.
