Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Technician to support laboratory and field testing operations for various construction materials, offering a foundational role in materials testing. Gain hands-on experience in laboratory and field testing We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Assistant Technician – Materials Testing (no experience needed) to support our laboratory and field testing operations involving soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregates, and other construction materials. Key Responsibilities * Assist technicians in conducting laboratory and field tests on soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregates, cement, and related construction materials. * Collect, prepare, label, and transport material samples from project sites to the laboratory. * Assist in sample preparation, curing, sieving, mixing, compaction, and other testing activities. * Set up, clean, and maintain laboratory and field testing equipment. * Support equipment calibration, verification, and routine maintenance. * Record test observations accurately and assist in maintaining laboratory documentation. * Ensure laboratory cleanliness and proper storage of materials and equipment. * Follow company quality procedures, laboratory standards, and health \& safety regulations. * Perform other duties assigned by the Laboratory Supervisor. Qualifications * High School Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent. * 0–2 years of experience in a construction materials testing laboratory or related field is preferred. * Basic knowledge of testing procedures for soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates is an advantage. * Familiarity with ASTM, AASHTO, BS, or equivalent testing standards is a plus. * Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks, including lifting and transporting test samples. * Willing to work in both laboratory and field environments. * Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team. * Good communication skills and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
