Engineering process improvement and performance efficiency enhancement **Engineering Director** **Job Purpose:** Lead and develop the company’s engineering strategy, supervise efficient project execution, ensure compliance with technical, quality, and safety standards, thereby supporting the company’s objectives in the Qatari market. **Responsibilities and Duties:** * Formulate the engineering strategy and supervise its implementation aligned with company objectives. * Manage engineering teams (civil, mechanical, electrical, or software, depending on sector). * Supervise project planning and execution, ensuring timely delivery within budget. * Review engineering designs and ensure compliance with international and local specifications and standards. * Improve engineering processes and enhance performance and productivity. * Manage engineering budgets and control costs. * Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards. * Coordinate with governmental authorities, consultants, and contractors in Qatar. * Assess technical risks and develop mitigation plans. * Support innovation and adoption of modern technologies in the engineering field. * Prepare and submit technical reports to senior management. **Qualifications and Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field); Master’s degree preferred. * Minimum 10–15 years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. * Experience managing large, complex projects. * Strong knowledge of international and local engineering standards in Qatar. * Excellent leadership and management skills. * Proficiency in English (Arabic is an added advantage). * Professional certifications such as PMP or PE are preferred. **Required Skills:** * Technical leadership and team management * Strategic planning and project management * Analysis and problem-solving * Risk management * Effective communication **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):** * Project delivery on time and within budget * Execution quality and standards compliance * Cost reduction and efficiency improvement * Safety performance and incident reduction * Customer satisfaction **Working Conditions:** * Full-time employment * Work environment requiring travel between offices and sites * Travel within and outside Qatar may be required * High level of responsibility and decision-making authority Employment Type: Permanent Salary: QAR٥٠٬٠٠٠٫٠٠ per month Work Location: On-site
