**Purchasing Coordinator — Job Description**
Overview Coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely, cost\-effective supply of goods and services while maintaining supplier relationships and procurement compliance.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Process purchase orders, requisitions, and approval workflows; ensure accurate documentation and timely fulfillment.
* Source suppliers, obtain quotes, compare bids, and recommend vendors based on price, quality, and delivery.
* Maintain supplier relationships; manage communications, lead times, and issue resolution.
* Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with inventory/warehouse teams to prevent stockouts and overstock.
* Track order status, expedite deliveries, and coordinate logistics with carriers and internal teams.
* Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contracts, and purchasing procedures.
* Review invoices, reconcile purchase orders with receipts, and assist accounts payable with discrepancies.
* Maintain purchasing records, vendor catalogs, and contract documentation.
* Support supplier evaluations, performance metrics, and periodic supplier audits.
* Assist in RFQ/RFP preparations and participate in tender evaluations as needed.
* Identify cost\-saving opportunities and support sourcing or process improvement initiatives.
* Use procurement/P2P systems and ERP modules to manage purchasing activities.
* Collaborate with stakeholders (operations, production, finance) to align purchasing with business needs.
* Provide regular reports on purchasing KPIs (lead times, spend, savings, supplier performance).
**Required Qualifications**
* Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
* 1–3\+ years experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain coordination.
* Familiarity with procurement processes, purchase\-to\-pay cycles, and inventory management.
* Experience with ERP or procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Coupa).
* Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
* Proficiency with Excel and basic data analysis; attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under deadlines.
**Preferred / Nice\-to\-have**
* Certification: CIPS, CPM, or equivalent.
* Experience in the company’s industry (manufacturing, healthcare, retail, construction).
* Knowledge of import/export procedures, customs, and international logistics.
* Familiarity with contract management and supplier performance frameworks.
Pay: QAR91\.10 \- QAR182\.22 per hour
