Maintain high unit/integration test coverage and perform peer code reviews. **Senior JAVA Developer** **Role Description** We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to design, build, and own end\-to\-end production microservices for enterprise banking channels. In this role, you will lead component delivery from initial design through production support while adhering to platform engineering standards. **Key Responsibilities** Development \& Delivery: Design, implement, and maintain resilient Java microservices, REST APIs, and database persistence layers to meet sprint commitments. Quality \& Engineering Standards: Maintain high unit/integration test coverage, perform peer code reviews, and manage governed, starter\-based dependencies. Production \& Support: Debug complex issues across integration layers, support UAT/release activities, and provide clean service documentation **Essential Requirements** Experience: 9\+ years in Java development, including recent hands\-on experience with Java 17, 21, or 25\. Frameworks \& Architecture: Strong expertise in Spring Boot 3\.x, Spring Data JPA, and microservices architecture (observability, boundaries, inter\-service communication). Database \& Tooling: Proficient with Oracle/SQL (query tuning, JPA Specifications), Maven multi\-module builds, and Git. DevOps \& Testing: Hands\-on with CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployment (Kubernetes, Azure, or OpenShift), JUnit 5, and Mockito. **Skills** Experience with Java 11→21 / javax→jakarta migrations, event\-driven integration (Kafka), or API gateways (IBM API Connect, DataPower). Exposure to Python, design patterns, or prior delivery experience in banking/regulated environments. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
