Promote a strong safety culture and encourage continuous HSE improvement **Job Description – Contractor HSE Representative (Oil \& Gas)** **Position:** Contractor HSE Representative **Location:** Qatar **Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced **Contractor HSE Representative** to join our Oil \& Gas project team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, and local regulations. The role requires a proactive individual committed to maintaining a safe working environment throughout the project lifecycle. **Key Responsibilities** * Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices on site. * Ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory HSE requirements. * Conduct daily site inspections, safety audits, and workplace hazard assessments. * Monitor high\-risk activities and ensure proper implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) systems. * Lead and participate in risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and toolbox talks. * Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective and preventive actions. * Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices. * Coordinate emergency response drills and support emergency preparedness activities. * Deliver HSE inductions and awareness training for employees and subcontractors. * Maintain HSE records, reports, and documentation in accordance with project requirements. * Liaise with project management, client representatives, and subcontractors on all HSE\-related matters. * Promote a strong safety culture and encourage continuous improvement in HSE performance. **Qualifications** * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Process Safety, Instrumentation, or equivalent). * Valid **NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC)**. * Minimum **7–10 years of experience** in the Oil \& Gas industry. * Proven experience in HSE management on **EPIC** or major Oil \& Gas projects. * Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, safety standards, and industry best practices. * Experience with Permit to Work (PTW), risk assessments, incident investigations, and emergency response. * Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HSE reporting. **Preferred Skills** * Experience working with major Oil \& Gas operators in the GCC region. * Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other international HSE management systems. * Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills. * Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary project environment.
