Summary: This role involves managing the OpenText Liferay Platform, performing system administration, deploying applications, and developing Java-based solutions while collaborating with internal teams. Highlights: 1. Manage OpenText Liferay Platform and its components 2. Design, create, and implement Java-based applications 3. Collaborate with internal teams to implement and execute tasks Job Responsibilities * Manage OpenText Liferay Platform and its components, and manage Liferay Platform administration at a high level * Install CARS, OTDS and Liferay Platform * Perform system configuration functions on Liferay Platform * Perform Liferay Platform backup and restore actions * Create and assign users to roles and teams * Implement and test Web services and the SOA grid in Liferay Platform * Investigate logs by using the logging framework of Liferay Platform * Troubleshoot business processes with process Instance Manager * Configure OTDS (OpenText Directory Services) to integrate with Liferay Platform * Manage users using the identity package * Deploy and launch applications to Liferay Platform * Provide end\-user support and resolve implementation issues * Assemble entity hierarchies and construct relationships between entities * Deploy entity\-based solutions for an Liferay client and wrap an entity as a web service * Build user interfaces with lists, forms and layouts * Design, create and implement Java\-based applications * Interpret requirements to create high\-quality coding that functions according to specifications * Design application functions and build objectives with the team * Write testable and scalable codes and ensure they are in line with the project objectives * Identify and resolve immediate and potential issues with the applications * Prepare detailed reports on projects/work tasks completed * Work in collaboration with internal teams to implement and execute the requisite tasks * Assist other developers with troubleshooting, debugging and coding Job Requirements Educational Qualification * Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field Licenses \& Certifications * Certification in coding, preferred Previous Work Experience * Overall, 5 to 8 years' experience in Java\-based programming 5OVWbn0V6g
