Provide technical guidance to junior safety staff and supervision teams About the Role We are seeking an experienced **Senior Safety Engineer**. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading site\-wide HSE compliance, risk management, and safety supervision across all phases of construction, ensuring the project is delivered in line with Qatar's safety regulations and international best practices. Key Responsibilities * Develop, implement, and monitor the project's Health, Safety \& Environment (HSE) management system in accordance with Qatar Construction Standards and relevant regulatory bodies * Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments across all active work fronts * Investigate incidents/near\-misses, prepare root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions * Review and approve contractor Method Statements and Risk Assessments (MSRA) prior to work commencement * Lead toolbox talks, safety inductions, and ongoing HSE training for site personnel * Monitor compliance with permit\-to\-work systems, traffic management plans, and temporary works safety * Liaise with client representatives and contractors on all safety\-related matters * Maintain safety documentation, statistics (LTI, TRIR), and reporting for management and client review * Ensure emergency preparedness plans are in place and regularly tested * Provide technical guidance to junior safety staff and site supervision teams Requirements * **Minimum 19 years of relevant experience** in construction safety, specifically within **roads and infrastructure projects** (buildings\-only experience will not be considered) * **Bachelor's degree** in Engineering (Civil, Safety, or a related field) * Prior experience on large\-scale government infrastructure projects strongly preferred * NEBOSH Diploma / IGC or equivalent international HSE certification * Strong knowledge of Qatar Construction Standards and international safety codes (OSHA, ISO 45001\) * Proven track record managing large\-scale, multi\-contractor road and infrastructure sites * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English Application Question(s): * Do you have more than 19 years of work experience in this field? * How long is your notice period before you can join? * What are your salary expectations for this role?
