**Core Responsibilities**
The position blends operational management with team leadership. Key duties include:
* **Operations Management:** Oversee all daily logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and warehousing. This involves ensuring work is distributed efficiently to meet delivery and quality targets .
* **Inventory Control:** Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation. Ensuring stock levels are accurate is critical for meeting customer demands and preventing disruptions .
* **Transportation \& Delivery:** Monitor transportation schedules and optimize routes to ensure timely, cost\-effective deliveries. This often includes coordinating with third\-party carriers and resolving shipping issues .
* **Team Leadership:** Directly supervise, train, and mentor logistics staff. This includes scheduling, providing performance feedback, and recommending corrective actions when necessary .
* **Process Improvement:** Analyze logistics data and metrics (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement. Implement process changes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and reduce costs .
* **Compliance \& Safety:** Ensure all operations comply with company policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, ISO standards). Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety protocols .
**Required Qualifications and Skills**
