Coordinate with engineering and site teams Job Description – Lifting Draftsman (Pipe Spool / Lifting Plans) **Job Title:** Lifting Draftsman **Location:** Qatar **Industry:** Oil \& Gas / EPC / Construction **Employment Type:** Full\-Time **Job Summary** We are looking for a **competent and experienced Lifting Draftsman** with strong practical knowledge of developing **lifting and rigging plans, particularly for pipe spool lifting and installation activities**. The candidate must be capable of understanding the actual lifting requirements and converting engineering/site information into **clear, technically accurate and workable lifting drawings**. The role requires someone who can independently prepare lifting arrangements and coordinate with Lifting Engineers, Rigging Supervisors and site teams. **Key Responsibilities** * Develop detailed **lifting and rigging plans primarily for pipe spool lifting and installation**. * Prepare lifting drawings based on spool drawings, weight, dimensions, Centre of Gravity (COG), lifting points and site conditions. * Determine and illustrate suitable **crane position, lifting radius, boom configuration, lifting points and rigging arrangement**. * Prepare detailed rigging arrangements showing: * Slings * Shackles * Spreader/lifting beams * Hooks * Tag lines * Lifting lugs * Other required lifting accessories * Develop **pipe spool lifting, shifting, positioning and installation arrangements**. * Prepare plans for lifting spools from trailers/storage areas and positioning them at the installation location. * Prepare lifting plans considering **restricted areas, access limitations, existing structures, equipment and nearby facilities**. * Develop **step\-by\-step lifting sequence drawings** where required. * Review spool fabrication/isometric drawings and extract relevant dimensions, weights and lifting information. * Identify practical lifting points and rigging configurations in coordination with the Lifting Engineer/Appointed Person. * Prepare crane layout drawings showing **crane location, load location, lifting radius, swing area and exclusion zones**. * Revise lifting drawings based on site conditions and comments from the Lifting Engineer, Construction Team and Client. * Coordinate closely with **Lifting Engineers, Rigging Supervisors, Construction Engineers and Site Supervisors**. * Ensure all lifting drawings are clear, properly scaled, technically accurate and suitable for site execution. * Prepare drawings supporting **Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Lifting Plans**. * Visit site when required to verify actual dimensions, access conditions and lifting arrangements. * Maintain proper revision control and update drawings according to approved changes. **Essential Technical Capability** The candidate should be able to independently develop a lifting plan by understanding: **Pipe Spool Drawing → Weight \& COG → Lifting Points → Crane Selection/Position → Lifting Radius → Rigging Arrangement → Crane Capacity → Clearance → Lifting Sequence → Final Installation Position** The candidate must have **practical understanding of how a pipe spool will actually be lifted and installed**, not only the ability to prepare drawings in AutoCAD. Required Skills \& Experience * Minimum **3–5 years of relevant experience** in lifting/rigging drafting. * Strong experience in **pipe spool lifting and installation activities**. * Excellent knowledge of **AutoCAD 2D**. * Ability to read **P\&ID, piping isometric drawings, GA drawings and spool drawings**. * Good understanding of pipe spool dimensions, weights, COG and lifting points. * Knowledge of cranes, crane load charts and lifting accessories. * Ability to prepare practical crane and rigging arrangements. * Experience in **Oil \& Gas, Petrochemical, EPC, Shutdown/Turnaround or Heavy Industrial projects** preferred. * Qatar/GCC project experience is preferred. * Knowledge of applicable lifting and rigging standards and client requirements. * Ability to coordinate with engineering and site teams independently. **How to Apply:** Send your updated CV to **recruitment6q@gmail.com Or Whatsapp No .** **\+974 74008047** Pay: QAR5,000\.00 \- QAR6,000\.00 per month Work Location: In person
