Coordinate equipment installation, alignment and related mechanical works **Sr. Mechanical Site Engineer – Desalination/RO Project** **Location:** Ras Laffan, Qatar **Job Type:** Full\-time **Salary:** Up to QAR 9,000 per month, depending on experience and technical interview Job Summary We are hiring an experienced **Sr. Mechanical Site Engineer** for a desalination/Reverse Osmosis construction project in Qatar. The candidate must have strong GCC oil\-and\-gas or industrial\-construction experience, particularly in metallic piping fabrication, erection, testing and commissioning. Key Responsibilities * Supervise daily mechanical and metallic\-piping construction activities. * Manage piping fabrication, erection, welding and installation activities. * Coordinate equipment installation, alignment and related mechanical works. * Review approved drawings, piping isometrics, P\&IDs and project specifications. * Prepare daily work plans and coordinate manpower, materials and equipment. * Monitor subcontractors and ensure achievement of productivity targets. * Coordinate fit\-up, welding, NDT and inspection activities with the QC team. * Supervise hydrotesting, flushing, reinstatement and mechanical completion. * Prepare and monitor piping test packages, punch lists and handover documentation. * Coordinate with the client, main contractor, consultants and other disciplines. * Prepare daily and weekly progress reports. * Identify construction constraints and implement corrective actions. * Ensure compliance with approved method statements, ITPs and project procedures. * Enforce PTW, HIRA/JSA, toolbox\-talk and site\-safety requirements. * Support commissioning and system\-handover activities. Mandatory Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. * Minimum 10 years of mechanical construction experience. * Minimum five years of GCC construction experience. * Strong GCC oil\-and\-gas, petrochemical, power or industrial\-project experience. * Practical experience in carbon\-steel and stainless\-steel process piping. * Experience in piping fabrication, erection, welding, NDT and hydrotesting. * Knowledge of P\&IDs, isometrics, piping layouts, specifications and test packages. * Experience managing engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and construction teams. * Good knowledge of mechanical completion, punch\-list clearance and project handover. * Strong English communication, reporting and coordination skills. * Desalination, RO or water\-treatment plant construction experience is preferred.
