Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use. Use tools, equipment, cooking appliances, and measuring devices safely and appropriately to prepare cooked food. Follow and ensure compliance with safe food handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures. Verify and ensure kitchen equipment and food are at correct temperatures, and report issues to managers. Wash and disinfect the kitchen; prepare and clear the workstation; and follow and enforce hygiene and cleaning procedures. Monitor food quality and portion sizes served throughout the shift. Follow and implement all brand policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security; report accidents, injuries, and any hazardous working conditions; complete required safety training and obtain necessary certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; and protect company assets. Communicate with others using clear, appropriate, and professional language, and answer the phone using proper etiquette. Build and maintain positive working relationships with others and support the team to achieve common goals. Comply with quality expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds (11.4 kg) without assistance. Navigate sloped, uneven, or slippery surfaces. Reach objects above head level and below knee level, including bending, twisting the body, pulling, and squatting. Be accustomed to standing, sitting, and moving for extended periods.
