Strong technical knowledge of generator systems required Job DescriptionPosition: Sales Engineer – Generator / Gensets **Location:** Qatar About the Role We are looking for a dynamic and technically strong Sales Engineer to drive sales of diesel generators, power solutions, and related equipment across Qatar. The ideal candidate should possess excellent technical knowledge of generator systems along with proven experience in developing business, managing customer relationships, and achieving sales targets within the industrial, construction, infrastructure, or commercial sectors. Key Responsibilities * Develop and grow sales of diesel generators, generator packages, and power solutions. * Identify new business opportunities within construction, infrastructure, industrial, oil \& gas, commercial, and government sectors. * Meet contractors, consultants, MEP companies, EPC contractors, end\-users, and distributors to generate enquiries. * Understand customer power requirements and recommend suitable generator solutions. * Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tender submissions. * Negotiate pricing and commercial terms while ensuring profitability. * Coordinate with engineering, service, and operations teams for project execution. * Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends. * Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and generate repeat business. * Achieve monthly and annual sales targets. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. * 3–8 years of experience in generator/genset sales. * Experience selling diesel generators, power solutions, or industrial equipment is mandatory. * Strong understanding of DG sizing, power ratings (kVA/kW), ATS, AMF panels, and generator applications. * Experience working with EPC contractors, MEP contractors, consultants, rental companies, or industrial customers. * Strong technical and commercial negotiation skills. * GCC experience is preferred. * Valid Qatar Driving License is an advantage.
