Proficient in using automotive diagnostic tools and testing equipment **Job Title:** Automobile A/C Technician **Department:** Workshop/ Garage **Reports To:** Workshop Supervisor Key Responsibilities * Diagnose faults in vehicle air conditioning and climate control systems. * Repair and replace A/C components including compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, blowers, and hoses. * Recover, evacuate, recharge, and test refrigerants using approved equipment. * Detect and repair refrigerant leaks. * Inspect and troubleshoot electrical and electronic components related to A/C systems. * Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of vehicle HVAC systems. * Conduct performance testing to ensure proper cooling and airflow. * Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications. * Maintain service records and report completed work accurately. * Follow all safety, environmental, and company procedures. Requirements * Technical diploma or certification in Automotive Technology or Vehicle Air Conditioning. * Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Vehicle A/C Technician. * Strong knowledge of automotive air conditioning and refrigeration systems. * Ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical faults. * Familiarity with refrigerant handling and recovery procedures. * Proficient in using automotive diagnostic tools and testing equipment. * Good communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications * Certification in Automotive HVAC/Air Conditioning Systems. * Experience with multiple vehicle brands and models. * Knowledge of modern automatic climate control systems.
