Work at the intersection of data science and economic theory **Economic Modeler \| Alfath Institute** **Location:** Rawdat Al Khail, Doha, Qatar **Salary:** QAR 30,000 per month **Job Type:** Full\-time / Specialist **Job Description** **Alfath Institute** is looking for a mathematically gifted and detail\-oriented **Economic Modeler** to join our research and strategy team in **Rawdat Al Khail**. In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and interpreting complex economic models that inform our policy recommendations and institutional strategies. You will act as a technical subject matter expert, using quantitative data to forecast trends, simulate various economic scenarios, and provide high\-level insights into Qatar’s evolving market landscape. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys working at the intersection of data science and economic theory. **Key Responsibilities** * **Model Development:** Design and implement econometric and mathematical models to analyze market behavior, fiscal policies, and macroeconomic trends. * **Forecasting:** Develop short\-term and long\-term economic forecasts to support the institute’s strategic decision\-making. * **Scenario Analysis:** Conduct "what\-if" simulations to assess the potential impact of global and local economic shifts. * **Data Synthesis:** Manage large datasets from various sources, ensuring data integrity and applying advanced statistical techniques to extract meaningful patterns. * **Reporting:** Translate complex quantitative findings into clear, concise executive summaries and policy papers for non\-technical stakeholders. * **Research Collaboration:** Support the senior leadership team by providing data\-backed evidence for research projects and institutional initiatives. **Qualifications \& Requirements** * **Education:** Master’s degree or PhD in Economics, Econometrics, Mathematics, or a highly quantitative field. * **Experience:** 5–8 years of experience in economic modeling, financial forecasting, or statistical research. * **Technical Proficiency:** Expert level skills in programming languages such as **R, Python, or MATLAB**, and experience with statistical software like **Stata or EViews**. * **Analytical Prowess:** Deep understanding of game theory, time\-series analysis, and macro/microeconomic principles. * **Communication:** Ability to communicate technical findings effectively in English; Arabic language skills are a significant advantage. * **Location:** Based at our facility in **Rawdat Al Khail, Doha**. الراتب المدفوع: QAR٠٫٠٠ لكل شهر موقع العمل: بشكل شخصي
