HSE OFFICER

Summary: Seeking an experienced HSE professional to ensure compliance, conduct risk assessments, lead investigations, and deliver safety training in the Oil & Gas industry. Highlights: 1. Lead and participate in incident/accident investigations 2. Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions 3. Promote continuous improvement in safety performance and awareness **Key Responsibilities:** * Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, procedures, and local regulations. * Conduct **risk assessments, hazard identification (HAZID), and Job Safety Analysis (JSA)**. * Monitor site activities to ensure safe work practices are followed. * Conduct regular **site inspections, audits, and safety walkthroughs**. * Lead and participate in **incident/accident investigations** and prepare reports. * Deliver **safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions**. * Ensure proper implementation of **Permit\-to\-Work (PTW) systems**. * Monitor use of **PPE** and ensure compliance at all times. * Coordinate emergency response drills and safety exercises. * Maintain HSE documentation, reports, and records. * Liaise with management, contractors, and regulatory authorities on HSE matters. * Promote continuous improvement in safety performance and awareness. **Required Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field. * **7–8 years of HSE experience in Oil \& Gas industry (mandatory)**. * Strong knowledge of international HSE standards and best practices. * Certifications such as: * NEBOSH IGC (mandatory) * IOSH / OSHA (preferred) * Familiarity with **QatarEnergy / major oil \& gas company standards**. * Good communication and reporting skills in English. **Required Skills \& Competencies:** * Strong understanding of **risk management and hazard control**. * Excellent observation and incident investigation skills. * Ability to enforce safety rules and influence workforce behavior. * Knowledge of environmental management practices. * Team player with leadership and coordination abilities. **Medical \& Fitness Requirements:** * Must be medically fit for **site\-based (onshore/offshore) work**. * Ability to work in demanding environments and conditions. **Preferred Experience:** * Experience in offshore/island projects (e.g., Halul). * Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001\). * Experience working with multinational teams.
