Summary: Seeking an experienced Design Review Engineer for sewage projects, responsible for coordinating with stakeholders, reviewing designs, and ensuring project compliance and timely delivery. Key role in coordinating design and construction approvals Design Review Engineer **A. Qualifications** * Bachelor’s Degree in Civil engineering from an accredited University with Professional Qualifications from a recognized International Institution and with a professional career development record all as approved by the Engineer. * **Chartered Engineer in recognized Professional Institution, all to the approval of the Engineer is highly desirable** * Demonstrable successful experience in a technical capacity on design similar size sewage projects in the construction, refurbishment \& upgrading, treatment works, and pump stations or equivalent construction projects. * **Ability to coordinate, corporate and communicate with internal and external Statutory bodies, department, government agencies, stakeholders in respect of acquiring necessary consents and approval on design and construction.** **B. Experience** * Minimum 15 years demonstrable experience of which minimum 7 years shall be with large construction projects associated with pup stations with multi engineering disciplines project coordination, check plans and specifications for accuracy of design and completeness for construction. * **Review, recommend and coordination with external \& internal stake holders pertinent to structural works \& design.** * Review, comment, recommend acceptance or otherwise on contractors’ and consultants’ submissions. * **Must have hand on experience in managing, reviewing and approving of design documents and construction experience on site supervising large multi\-engineering disciplinary project and requirements encompassing similar size sewage projects in the construction, refurbishment \& upgrading, treatment works, and pump stations or equivalent construction projects.** * Review the design according to the local codes/standards (including but not limited to QHDM, QTM, WZTMG, QCS…etc) and international codes where the local documents are not applicable. **Aware about the QDRS system and the related uploading documents to facilitate the required approvals.** * Coordination with relevant agencies and stakeholders to expedite their feedback and obtain approvals. **Link the design deliverables with construction sequence and prioritize the activities to meet the project dead line without abortive work.** * Work with technical \& Construction teams to avoid clashes and find acceptable technical solutions for unforeseen constraints. **Has the technical experience to assess the changes during construction without impacting the original design.** * Get involved with the planning team in sequencing the activities and the project **deliverables based on experience from previous projects to assess the project team in finalizing the project plan until completion.** * Review shop drawings and as built drawings according to the approved design. **Aware about the end user requirements related to material approval requests, handing over process, maintenance and operation.** **General** * Must be fluent in English and Arabic both written and spoken with good capability in oral and written communication skills; * **Computer skills are mandatory.** * Ability to use design software is compulsory.
