Marine Operations Manager

Job Summary: Manage daily marine operations, plan vessel movements, ensure compliance with international regulations, and supervise cargo handling, maintenance, and team development. Key Responsibilities: 1. Lead and develop marine operational teams and promote a culture of safety and high performance. 2. Manage operational risks and investigate marine incidents. 3. Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance plans for vessels and equipment. Customs authorities and clients to ensure smooth operations. Monitor fleet performance and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), proposing continuous improvement plans. Manage Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programs and ensure compliance with marine safety procedures. Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance plans for vessels and marine equipment in coordination with technical teams. Prepare and manage operational budgets, monitor costs, and optimize resource utilization. Manage operational risks, investigate marine incidents, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Lead and develop marine operational teams and promote a culture of safety and high performance. Prepare operational reports for senior management and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Marine Sciences, Maritime Transport, Logistics, or a related field. Minimum 8 years of experience in marine operations, port management, or maritime shipping, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role. Experience in managing vessel, port, offshore platform, or marine service operations. Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations, including IMO, SOLAS, and MARPOL, as well as applicable regulatory requirements in the State of Qatar. Experience implementing the International Safety Management (ISM) Code and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management systems to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements. Duties and Responsibilities Manage and supervise daily marine operations and ensure their efficient and effective execution. Plan and schedule vessel movements, berthing, and departure operations in coordination with ports, clients, and regulatory authorities. Ensure compliance with the laws of the State of Qatar and international maritime conventions, including IMO requirements and SOLAS and MARPOL standards. Supervise cargo loading/unloading operations, marine services, and vessel and marine facility support. Coordinate with government agencies, customs authorities, and clients. Work Location: On-site
