Develop market relationships and build investment pipelines ***Job Overview*** **Private Equity Director** Usually describes a senior finance leader who oversees deal sourcing, diligence, execution, portfolio oversight, and exits, while also managing junior team members and stakeholder relationships. **Typical duties** * Originate and evaluate investment opportunities, build the pipeline, and maintain market relationships. * Lead due diligence, financial modeling, valuation work, and deal structuring/negotiation. * Support or lead portfolio\-company monitoring, value creation, restructuring, and exit planning. * Prepare investment memos, presentations, teasers, and reports for internal committees and external stakeholders. * Mentor and supervise analysts, associates, and other team members. **Common requirements** * A bachelor’s degree, often with a preference for finance, economics, business, accounting, or investment management. * Several years of private equity, investment banking, M\&A, or related investing experience. * Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills, including DCF, IRR, NPV, and comparable transaction analysis. * Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and leadership abilities. * CFA or another professional qualification is often preferred or seen as an advantage.
