Strong troubleshooting skills for diesel-driven equipment We are seeking an experienced **Diesel Mechanic** to perform maintenance, repairs, and complete overhauls of diesel engines used in mobile air compressors, generators, and pumps. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills and extensive experience working in the **oil and gas or petrochemical industry,** ensuring equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently. **Key Responsibilities:*** Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and complete overhauls of diesel engines. * Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair faults on diesel\-driven mobile air compressors, generators, and pumps. * Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with company procedures and manufacturer recommendations. * Test equipment after repairs to ensure optimal performance and reliability. * Replace defective components and perform engine rebuilds as required. * Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records. * Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. * Support emergency breakdown maintenance when required. * Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper use of tools and equipment. **Minimum Requirements:*** Secondary School Certificate or Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. * **Hands\-on experience** in overhauling diesel engines, mobile air compressors, generators, and pumps. * At least **5 years of experience** in the **oil and gas or petrochemical industry**. * Strong knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics, overhaul procedures, and maintenance practices.
