Ensure project execution aligns with quality and safety standards We are seeking a highly experienced **Resident Engineer – Road Works** to lead and supervise road and infrastructure construction activities for the Project. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, manage site supervision activities, coordinate with the contractor and project stakeholders, and ensure that all road works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules. **Duration: 3 Years (Extendable) \- Local Hire Only** **Responsibilities** * Lead and supervise all road and infrastructure construction activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contracts, and standards. * Provide technical direction to the site supervision team and monitor contractor performance, quality, workmanship, and progress. * Supervise earthworks, excavation, grading, subgrade, sub\-base, road base, asphalt, kerbs, drainage, utilities, road markings, signage, and associated civil works. * Review construction/shop drawings, method statements, material submissions, technical documents, and inspection requests as authorized. * Monitor road alignment, levels, gradients, compaction, pavement layers, asphalt works, and laboratory/field testing. * Coordinate with survey teams to verify coordinates, levels, alignments, and setting\-out works. * Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, client representatives, and other disciplines to resolve site interfaces and technical issues. * Monitor project progress against the approved programme, identify delays/risks, and provide recommendations. * Participate in progress, technical, and coordination meetings and maintain accurate site records, reports, correspondence, and documentation. * Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements and support resolution of contractual and construction issues. * Monitor snagging, testing, completion, and handover of road and infrastructure works. Requirements * Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; BSc/BEng/BA or equivalent preferred. * Minimum **15 years of total experience**, including **7\+ years of relevant experience in road construction and infrastructure projects**. * Proven experience as a **Resident Engineer** supervising major road, highway, and infrastructure projects. * Strong knowledge of **road construction, pavement, earthworks, drainage, utilities, asphalt, and associated civil works**. * Excellent knowledge of **construction specifications, testing, and quality control procedures**. * Ability to interpret **engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents**. * Strong **contractor management, multidisciplinary coordination, leadership, decision\-making, and problem\-solving skills**. * Strong communication, reporting, and project management abilities with experience leading site supervision teams. * Ability to manage multiple activities under demanding project schedules and deadlines. * **Qatar/GCC project experience is an advantage.** Application Question(s): * Do you have Qatar/GCC Project Experience?
