As a Car Denter, you will be responsible for repairing damaged vehicle bodies, with a heavy focus on rust remediation, welding, and precise metal fabrication. Your goal will be to restore vehicles to their original factory specifications after accidents or corrosion. We need someone who doesn't just slap on body filler, but who can cut out rot, weld in clean metal, and perfectly recreate factory body lines and grooves. **Key Responsibilities** * **Rust Remediation:** Identify structural and cosmetic rust, cleanly cut out corroded metal sections, and fabricate or prep replacement patch panels. * **Precision Welding:** Perform high\-quality MIG/TIG welding to seamlessly integrate new metal panels and components, ensuring structural integrity and safety. * **Factory Line Restoration:** Recreate, shape, and align intricate body grooves, swage lines, and contours to perfectly match original factory specifications. * **Dent Removal \& Metalwork:** Hammer out dents, dimples, and creases using specialized hand and power tools (e.g., mallets, dollies, dent pullers). * **Component Replacement:** Remove severely damaged panels, fenders, grills, and trim, and weld or bolt replacement parts into place. * **Surface Preparation:** File, grind, sand, and smooth repaired surfaces, minimizing the use of body fillers to ensure a flawless finish ready for the paint booth. **Requirements \& Qualifications** * **Experience:** Proven experience as an Automotive Denter, Panel Beater, or Auto Body Technician with a strong portfolio of metalwork. * **Welding Expertise:** Advanced proficiency in MIG/TIG welding and oxy\-acetylene torch cutting. * **Fabrication Skills:** Exceptional skill in using metal shapers, English wheels, shrinkers/stretchers, and grinders to replicate complex factory lines and curves. * **Attention to Detail:** An uncompromising eye for symmetry, panel gaps, and body contours. * **Physical Stamina:** Ability to lift heavy parts, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods in a workshop environment.
