Collaborating with multiple departments to resolve quality issues Job Title **Supply Chain Quality Inspector** Job Purpose To ensure the quality of materials, products, and services within the supply chain by inspecting suppliers, incoming materials, storage and transportation processes, and verifying product conformity to approved specifications and standards prior to reaching production or customer stages. Key Responsibilities * Conducting quality inspections on raw materials and products received from suppliers. * Verifying shipment compliance with technical specifications and approved quality standards. * Reviewing quality documentation such as inspection certificates, conformity certificates, and test reports. * Performing inspections during receiving, storage, and transportation. * Identifying non-conformances and preparing Non\-Conformance Reports. * Following up on corrective actions with suppliers and relevant departments. * Evaluating supplier quality and contributing to their performance improvement. * Using measurement and inspection tools to verify product quality. * Ensuring implementation of quality and safety procedures in supply chain operations. * Conducting periodic audits of suppliers and warehouses as needed. * Maintaining inspection records and quality reports. * Collaborating with Procurement, Warehousing, Production, and Engineering departments to resolve quality issues. * Participating in quality improvement initiatives to reduce waste and returns. Required Qualifications * Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in: * Quality Management. * Industrial Engineering. * Mechanical Engineering. * Supply Chain Management. * Or a related field. Experience * Two to five years of experience in quality inspection, quality control, or supply chain. * Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics environments is an added advantage. Required Skills * Knowledge of quality standards such as **ISO 9001**. * Ability to read technical specifications and engineering drawings. * Experience using measurement and inspection tools. * Report writing and problem analysis skills. * Familiarity with receiving and inspection procedures. * Proficiency in Quality Management Systems and ERP systems such as **SAP**, or others. * Strong communication skills with suppliers and internal teams. * Accuracy and attention to detail. * Ability to perform fieldwork and withstand work pressure. Work Environment * Work locations include warehouses, factories, distribution centers, or supplier sites. * Field visits to suppliers or operational sites may be required. * Adherence to safety procedures during inspection activities is mandatory. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) * First-pass acceptance rate of materials. * Reduction in non-conformance cases. * Speed of quality issue resolution. * Accuracy of inspection reports. * Supplier performance evaluation and improvement. * Compliance with inspection and quality plans. * Reduction in quality-related returns and complaints.
